18 in 2018- Day Fifteen: Where the Heck is that Sequence?

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_video link=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L4OIqP9egnE”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Its 2018! Lets make our showfiles more efficient.

Here’s what you’ll need:
– One thumb drive
– One grandMA2 console on grandMA2 onPC running software version 3.3.4.3
– grandMA3D v3.3.4.3 (Optional)
– The Consoletrainer 2018 showfile (Includes our updates up through Day Thirteen) so you can play along.
You can grab the software for free at http://www.malighting.com/en/support-downloads/software.html

Software Version used in series: 3.3.4.3[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_text_separator title=”Video Transcript” title_align=”separator_align_left” color=”blue”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Our fifteenth day of 18 in 2018 we’re gonna answer the question: What page did I store that Sequence to?

As always, lets start with backing up our show and renaming it to reflect the day.  If you don’t have the showfile- take a second to download it from the link in the YouTube description, or at my website, consoletrainer.com.

If you take a look at any showfile’s Sequence Pool, chances are you’re going to see some unlabeled Sequences and some Sequences that aren’t even assigned to Executors.  Perhaps you want to clean the pool up by deleting unused sequences, and reorganizing the existing ones.  But sometimes, you’ll run into a Sequence in here that has the Cyan Number (which means it’s been stored to an Executor somewhere), but you just don’t know where.  The Locate Macro is going to answer that.  In our Macro Pool, EDIT an empty cell.  This macro is actually one of the predefined Macros, so “Load Predefined” and look for “Locate Sequence.”  Seriously, I never even noticed this until last year- but I love it.  This is one of those macros that looks for user input each time.  You can tell by the section in parenthesis.  Let’s try it. Say, I want to find where this “Default Example” Sequence, Number 7, is.  Touch the Macro, and input 7. The Macro takes you to the page where the Sequence lives, and even lights up in red, saying “Here!”[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
